Elasticnote no longer probes localhost during passive app startup or when you simply open the AI Assistant or AI Settings. Browser Local Network Access is requested only after you choose Ollama, refresh its models, or make an AI request while Ollama is already selected.

Elasticnote can connect to Ollama running on your computer, distinguish local and Ollama Cloud-backed models, and apply Privacy Mode according to where inference runs.

Eligible LaTeX text edits can appear immediately in Live PDF while Elasticnote reconciles the exact PDF in the background. The exact compiled PDF and SyncTeX remain authoritative.
